How to Reduce PDF Size for Email
Email attachment limits are still one of the most common reasons people need a PDF compressor. The safest workflow is to shrink the file locally, review the output, and only then send it.
Start with balanced compression
Use medium compression first because it usually reduces scanned or image-heavy PDFs without making text hard to read. If the file is still too large, try high compression and compare the result.
Remove pages you do not need
If a document includes blank pages, old cover sheets, or unrelated attachments, split or manage the PDF before compressing it. Fewer pages usually means a smaller and cleaner email attachment.
Check the final file before sending
Open the compressed PDF and check names, signatures, page order, and image clarity. This matters for job applications, legal forms, invoices, and client reports.
